Full Tilt 2

Description

Full Tilt is a sort of action space shooter of sorts, modeled after Asteroids in a way, which you may be able to tell when and if you play it above there. This inception of this game was in 2004 by Ronn in our Object Oriented Programming class when he did it for his final project in C++, we both decided this was a perfect opportunity to see how quick one can make a decent game within Flash, this took us approximately a week to complete to this point.
Please bear in mind this is by no means complete, if you play it you may notice that there is no way to take damage, which also means there is no way to die. It does make note of you getting hit by breaking your combo, and the alien dissapearing, but you don't die. So this also leads to you not being able to see the high score setup I have in there, but we both would like to try and finish it sometime soon I hope. Also you may note that your combo does not show up as expected in the "combo" window in the main screen, this was something of a problem we ran into in getting it to successfully display, time just ran out before class began so we never got that in there either. One more note is the background music (I note this in the Credits also) is not 100% original, it is from a song in the Dance Dance Revolution Max 2 game, I edited it to be loopable and had to do some mixing on it as to make it work, there is some of my original work in layers on it, but overall its not mine or ours for that matter, I would like to do one of my own soon when we try to complete this, but right now there are many projects on our plate keeping us busy. This was purely for academic purposes. We intended on never using this for financial reasons, just to learn Flash's Action Scripting and game capabilities in a short time frame so I didn't have time to do my own, yet.

Credits

Initial game idea and design, art (which was from his original game nothing new), alien, background stars, and fixing of my ship rotation and firing programming by Ronn LeFeuvre
Game layout, screen layout, and design by Ronn LeFeuvre
Sounds mixing, creation, editing, and programming EXCEPT the background music by Kenneth Stojevich (Me)
High Score layout, setup, and programming by Kenneth Stojevich (Me) (this is currently unoticable as we never got to implementing damage or death in the game yet ;) its there though)
Initial programming of rotating ship, and firing by both Ronn and I
Background Song "Burning Heat - 3 Option Mix" by Mr. T with Motoaki. F from Dance Dance Revolution Max 2 ( I did mix the song slightly as to allow it to loop and work in a smaller more compressed format with the Flash format as to not create a HUGE flash file, I fully intend on doing my own piece for this soon, this was for academic purposes ONLY with no intention on making any $$$ off of this just so you know ;) )

Care to comment on the work at all feel free to email me or my partner in crime with this project Ronn with any questions, suggestions, or comments you may have.
